The 3 best rock albums of 2004 in my opinion

Year 2004 was in the past, and now we are in 2005, a brand new year. Looking back to the last year, Rock music didn’t have many bright points but it still born excellent albums of the artists all over the world.
The best album, in my opinion, is Green Day’s “American Idiot”. It owns 6 Grammy 2005 nominees. Green Day had worked the whole year to fight against Bush until he won the American election. They are losers, but their music is winner. This is a steady alternative/punk album with 14 excellent tracks. My favorite ones are the hit single “American Idiot” and the nice ballad “When September Ends”. It has still been one of the best-selling albums at Amazon.com now.
The second album is Exodus’s “Tempo Of The Damed”. Exodus – the thrash legend of the 1980s – came back with a very attractive disc, which reminds us about their classic album “Bonded By Blood”. It has a hit, “War is My Sheppard” and all others are pretty good.
The third album is Pain Of Salvation’s “Be”. It is another Progressive Metal masterpiece created by Pain Of Salvation. And it has the most interesting Metal song of the year, “Dea Pecuniae”, a song that reminded us about the golden years of Rock music in 1970s and 1980s.

Why do chickens shake their heads while running?

Have you ever watched a chicken run? Did you norice how it shake its head? Scientists now know the secret of this problem.
They took slow-motion pictures of a chicken’s running and studied the picture carefully. They found out that the chicken’s head did not move back and forth. It only jerked forward – then the body caught up. And when its eyes was covered, the head couldn’t jerk anymore.
The scientist had found out that the chicken only jerk its head forward to see better. Wouldn’t it be funny if most chickens needed glasses.

The Colorful World Of Computer Games

Nowadays, the entertainment industry has become one of the superprofit industries in the world. And an important part of the entertainment industry is computer games. People everywhere in the world enjoy playing games like Half Life, Age Of Empires; WarCraft or Fifa Soccer, ...
There are many kinds of games. Each one has some specific advantages, so that gamers can choose which kind is suitable for them. Adventurous people would like Adventure-games; people who like sports would like sport-games; others might prefer strategy-games or horror-games. But in fact, most kids and teenagers have their own favourite games. Games affected their behaviors as well as their habbits very much. Games also created some new jobs, even a special job called "professional gamer". Pro gamers are people who get money for their ability to play a game. Games Companies pay money for them because they need to test their product and promote it. They also organize many competitions for both amateur and professional gamers.
The world of computer games are very colorful, because people love it. They play games everywhere.

My happy family

I’m totally an original person, not different from all others in the world. But I don’t think that there are many people who have such a happy family as I do.
I was born in 1985 in Kiev, USSR. At that time, my mother and my father were students in Kiev. They met each other the first time there, they fell in love there and they married there. Their love have always been romantic, even now. 6 months after I was born, we came back to Vietnam to start a new life. Things are getting more and more difficult, because at that time Vietnam was very poor, we lacked everything, even food. So it’s not easier with a child who had lived comfortably in Kiev like me. My parents spent a year at their hometown to meet my grandparents and my relatives and then they came back to Hanoi to start their career. My mother became a teacher at Agricultural University, and my father started working for Vietnam Airlines. At first, there were many problems with stabilizing the new life. Things have been easier since Vietnam started a new economic policy called “Doi moi”. People’s lives improved everyday. And my family welcomed a new member in 1991, when my younger sister was born. From then, we lived a very happy life, and I love my little sister ver much. She is the family’s clown, she makes us laugh all day. Of course in our life, we had to face many difficult problems, but we passed all because we always have each other.
My family has a very important role in my life. In my opinion, it’s the happiest family in the world. In the future, I hope that I will have such a happy family as it.

Khuong's English profile

Hello everyone!
There are some problems with my Reading/Writting skill.
First, my vocabulary is very weak, and many times I couldn't express my thought just because I don't know how to write it in English. It also takes me a lot of time to read an essay because there are many words I don't know and I must guess.
Thesis of an essay is also a problem. Writting a clear thesis and a good conclusion seems to be a little difficult for me. And I also have hard time identify the thesis of an essay, so I always lost my score at this point.
The big problem with me (and, in my opinion, many other Vietnameses) is listening skill. That's the reason why I had a bad grade at SSP 107 final exam. Many words I've already known but I cannot hear it in the tape, or even when my terachers talk out.
I haven't got any good points, except for writting an easy-understanding essay or paragraph, and sometimes I have a good idea for my essay.
